The Gizmotec AutoPilot Manager (MRC EXCLUSIVE)
The AutoPilot Manager from Gizmotec GmbH provides automatic flight controller redundancy at you fingertips, safety without compromise.
Clever tools for unmanned systems!
An ever increasing number of countries are starting to require that you ensure that a malfunction of an autopilot system does not automatically lead to a loss of control over the, multirotor / drone, autonomous aircraft or vehicle (Single point of failure). In this case, the AutoPilot Manager jumps in automatically, switching to the secondary flight controller. The AutoPilot Manager provides outstanding redundancy and therefore safety. And anyone that is considering building a solution that meets the U.K.’s CAOSC requirement can demonstrate full flight controller redundancy.
The AutoPilot Manager is compatible with the majority of flight controllers included Pixhawk, DJI A2, Wookong M and the DJI Naza V2. The AP- manager has been designed to work alongside either two identical Flight controllers or a mix, ie Wookong M and Naza V2 for example.
If the primary flight controller fails the the AutoPilot Manager Automatically switches to the secondary system allowing the operator to land the craft safely.
The AP-Manager is also perfect for performing system-tests, when new firmware / software setups, new sensor, or even new payloads. This allows you to utilise the AP-Manager manually switch between the two autopilot systems, knowing that you have the comfort and confidence to start your unmanned vehicle with the old, familiar system on one autopilot and to have the freedom of choice to change to the second autopilot with the new setup. And in a case where unexpected behaviour or wrong parameters are found you can easily switch back to the stable system setup in order to take over control again.
